“Ksssshsssssh” The sound of another latte coming into the world. Conversation drifts from all directions as friends and strangers sit and talk about… whatever. It smells good, really good. I sit at a table and look out the window at my small town, the busy people coming to and fro. It is a place very conductive to thoughtful reading. I sit in the place where I always do and occasionally place a bookmark in my book to say hello to a friend or a new acquaintance.
Then I got the internet. People yelling their political ideology, senseless banner ads and idiocy flying out the wazoo. The internet has a long way to go. Perhaps with the advent of virtual reality, and virtual coffee, people will calm down and the internet will achieve what it is capable of.
